ACDF CHAIRMAN MESSAGE TO THE FORMAL LAUNCHING OF THE FOUNDATION.
APPRECIATE GOD.
Appreciate all the organizing committee members namely Pastor Balogun, Mrs. Okunoren, Mr. Sadibo, Mrs. Omokhua and Mr Jude Olaniregun for the selfless and humanitarian services to mankind. Appreciate all our unrepentant donors both in Nigeria and United Sates notably all the members of ASF (Adedinsewo, Sule, Falaki), Awosanya family, Onime family, Iyiola Wale family of UK, Fafore family, and others too numerous to mention.
GENESIS OF THE FOUNDATION:
ADEJUMOKE care and development foundation (ACDF) is an off shoot of Olayele scholarship scheme (OSS) which came to existent in year 1999. However, after the demise of our first daughter
ADEJUMOKE Sule née Adedinsewo as a result of cancer related complications on the 2nd of June 2018, we decided to immortalize her with the foundation. The foundation was registered with the governments of the United States and Nigeria in
2019.
VISION AND MISSION:
A) To readily assist the needy in health challenges, fund research on cancer, pay or subsidize medical bills.
B) Render necessary assistance to widows, motherless babies, orphans or the homeless.
C) Assist citizens to acquire education formally or informally through training, provision of scholarship or total financing of institutional cost of education.
D) Provide portable water to
the citizens by sinking borehole in affected areas or communities and where not
feasible, supply water through other means.
E) Cooperate with other foundations to achieve the visions of ACDF.
F) Any other areas where the board of trustees feel
led to assist the people or citizens without prejudice.
TESTIMONIALS:
a) To the glory of God, the foundation provided a borehole to Ogungbade
community and school with a generator for effective operation.
B) During Covid-19, Ogungbade Ibadan Christian and Muslim communities were
supplied with palliatives.
C) As at today, the foundation has helped ten students in various higher
institutions. To the glory of God, 3 of our students have graduated successfully
while 5 are in their final years courtesy of the ASUU strike.
D) In year 2021, the foundation supplied the people of Ogungbade Ibadan community with clothing, shoes and food items.
E) The Oncology unit of UCH was visited and some of the patients with cancer
related diagnosis were assisted financially. This year we are planning to extend the same thing to Oluyoro hospital coincidentally, it is the hospital where ADEJUMOKE was born on the 22nd of February 1987. As well, on the 17th of December, we shall be passing out clothing, shoes, school bags, food items to-the good people of Ogungbade community.
GOOD DAYS AHEAD:
In the year ahead, the board of trustees has decided that
1) We shall be giving out scholarship to twenty more students in the coming year. As a result of that, more than one million Naira has been budgeted for that. Furthermore, one million Naira has been allocated to assist people with health challenges in the coming year. Finally, we shall identify a community that in is dire need of portable water, we shall supply borehole to such community. Passing out of food items, clothing, shoes and other related materials shall continue to be supplied to our people around holiday times like this.
CLOSING REMARK:
In closing, we appreciate God Almighty and the good people who have been supporting the foundation from inception and those God will continue to use to keep the foundation alive till Christ comes. In the light of that, we pray God to bless you beyond what you planned to give today to allow us to fulfill the objectives of the foundation. The book launch is unique since the same was done in the US in 2020. It is a book written by my humble self, based on my personal relationship with my very dear daughter, Adejumoke. Find time to read it
especially chapter eight entitled “Daddy and daughter dialogue.” Thank you, sir and ma, for your attention and support.
